Best place to be on a Bank Holiday

Not sure if it's just us, but when driving up Totnes high street,  why is it ..............

we are the lucky one's that get stuck behind a delivery lorry ?
Not that it really mattered, I just wondered why !

We even got stuck in traffic on Brutus Bridge going into town. Might have something to do with all our recent visitors around the roads of Devon.

Luckily only a few horse riders and locals know other routes.

The best place to be on a Bank Holiday is Soggibottom. Over the bridge and totally forgotten.
The quilt, sorry, patchwork is now finished, quilting has begun.
Not a mention of weddings !

We did watch, can't have an AMIE SOTO BLOSSOM and not watch a royal wedding.
Not a corgi in sight either !

Ames can look Regal when she wants to, except when she is asleep.

Beautiful wedding; William and Harry seem like very nice fellows. Your quilt is lovely - great colors. You're very talented. Amie may not look royal while asleep, but she does look adorable which is much better.

I always seem to get behind the slow people, lol.
But I am never in a hurry, I get there, when I get there;)

We so enjoyed watching the royal wedding from the comfort of our home too - wasn't it just beautiful?

Amie looks very sweet and content there, and she will always be a princess.

We watched. The pups woke me up around 4:30 so I made a pot of coffee and turned on the TV. There they were in all their finest. It was fun to join in the celebration.

Hi Ames and Midge
We looked for you as we watched the wedding...
then we looked for you in the square...

but then we knew you were there in spirit anyway.

When you get stuck in traffic , bridges or behind delivery trucks,, at least you have a beautious view!
Your quilt is gorgeous,, and when it is done,, we can only imagine!
love

I ALWAYS get behind the slow people - and then - right when we get to the traffic light, it turns red and they squeak through while I get stuck. Looks like you had a beautiful view while stuck on the bridge! Wish I was tootling along with you. I'm lovin' that quilt, Midge. You're a much better quilter than I am, I wouldn't even attempt that design! Amie is such a dear - give her kisses from Auntie Allie!

Because slow people lurk in side roads until just before you come along and then pull out in front - it's deliberate, they enjoy being annoying.....that's what it feels like anyway!
Beautiful quilt - are you telling me you sewed all that by hand?
Sleep on Amie, nothing wrong with that!

Well done Midge with the quilt! It looks so pretty.

:-) behind a delivery van. Only you dear.

I escaped the wedding. I saw the dress in a pic afterwards. Maybe she will have started a new trend in wedding dresses. I hope so, it may mean the end of the glorified boob tube styles I keep seeing, which don't seem to flatter many brides. Hey who knows maybe it will kickstart a revival in the Totness lace making industry again? Ooo now wouldn't that be something.

Love that quilt Midge, what's the pattern? It looks like a tree to me. I thought I was the only one to always be stuck in traffic!

The quilt is beautiful! Just love the effort and love that go into making them. YUP not a corgi in site but we did see a photo of a camping out CKCS in a pink tent on TV!! Not as good looking as you though Aime.
