Polperro, Cornwall and blogger awards

It seems only right that I start this post with a serene scene.
Polperro, in Cornwall the day after the kids went back to school. It had a very distinct lack of holiday makers. All to day trippers advantage............yep, that's us............

This is the calm scene.........the not so calm one was the day my washing machine gave up the ghost a few weeks ago.

Oh Mrs Grumpy!

Maybe Tony's suggestion that he could carry my washing down to the stream for me didn't go down well as he had hoped.

We have also "done" Halloween while we have been away from blog world..... Ask Mew...as the bear took up more of her space in the window than he usually does..................

Back to another promise...........blog awards.

We were very honoured to receive the KARMA award earlier in the year. At the time it made me smile as sometimes there is nothing calm around here.

At other times you can hear a pin drop. I drop loads of them and then have to scrabble around so no one ends up going to the vet.

Really pleased to have had this award then and still really pleased that Dolores at

TRUE BLUE CANADIAN sent it along the line to Soggibottom.

Dolores is a true recipient of this award......I always enjoy reading her blog and I'm sure you will too. It's not the first time that Soggibottom has mentioned True Blue Canadian....ah, don't I love looking at the quilts she displays. Does envy come into good Karma? No probably not!

Here is the easy bit.......I have had to trawl back and find the wording.....IT IS...............The Karma award. These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kinds of bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self- aggrandizement. (I still haven't looked into the dictionary for that one but I have the right idea - I think). Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. ~Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to some bloggers who may choose more and include this cleverly written text into the body of the award.

Not sure how many bloggers I am to pass on this award to, so thought I would mention five:-
Most of, if not all bloggers that I know work hard at what ever they do, not just blogging.

When Life Hands you Scraps

Uniqart

Purplecats Corner

Donkey Dreams

Harvesthome primitives

I realise not everyone is into awards, so if your not, that's fine.....but.........I have at last kept my promise and pasted on my lovely award. x x x

The other award Soggibottom had a while ago was from Aunt Pitty Pat
How lovely was the thought. Just as great and as large as my smile every time I click onto this lady's blog.....if your having a bad day, the washing machine does not work or the teddy bear takes up far too much of your window seat you need to visit Aunt Pitty Pats.

I have to again say a very large thank you for the honour. The rules of Aunt Pitty Pat's award are.
Accept the award and post it on your blog together with the name of the person who has granted the award and his or her blog link. Pass the award to 15 (fifteen - do I know 15 ?) other blogs that you've newly discovered. Remember to contact the bloggers to let them know they have been chosen for this award.
Ah that's fine, easy.......I just take my own time at getting around to things.....ah...forgot you need to know who the FIFTEEN ARE....um.....how about five ?

I'll mention a few.......if I have forgotten you.....remind me ................

Nutbudquilter

Itching for Stitching

The Friendly Company of Bears

Oopsology

I Can't Sew

Scout the Bernese Mountain Dog

Wendy

Astrid ( I just love looking at her cakes)

Susan and Campball and the mad merles (Amie insisted I add Campball)

You've counted.....there are nine. I know there are other Amie Soto Blossom Fans out there.
Thank you again for both awards ladies.

Have a great time over the weekend. November 5th is a busy time for all budding pyromaniacs.
