Scratching around Dartmouth for the hornpipe
For the scratching around you have to watch the very end of the video.

On The New Dartmouth Ferry, Devon
Looking upstream towards Totnes.
You might notice Amie's boat somewhere here.
The slipway we are heading for.
This is it, the brand new Higher Ferry boarding for Dartmouth.
It's a short trip..................still £3.50 for a car.
Hardly any queuing like there used to be.
Amie thought it better than the old one, we were at the front going back and she likes being able to see.
You 'll find the video noisy, going back over the Dart towards the slipway on the Kingswear side.
It didn't sound as bad to us, it was a windy day, Amie and I sat in the car.
It's the sound of the engine, either that or someone paddling really fast!

Caravans in the West Country
Lots of campers and caravans on the West Country roads at the moment.
They are here in all weathers.
The good days and the bad.
Sometimes they get lost.
Sometimes they get to their destination and end up on the beach.
We haven't got a caravan or trailer or camper.
But we do know someone who was on holiday and staying in a caravan.
We went to visit. Here are our hosts, Gordon and Janice.
What did you think of all the caravans Amie?
"I liked the beach".....................................................
Soggibottom has an award
Soggibottom is the proud owner of a karma award...............
to find out why, just click on the link to True Blue Canadian.
Thank you Dolores, the kind of thought we love here at the cottage.
I have still to pass this on to like wise bloggers....all of you maybe, or you wouldn't have clicked on here. It's a very good opportunity to say how great it is to see everyone who visits.
Especially All the No 1. AMIE SOTO BLOSSOM FANS.
I do tell her but half of the time she looks up and goes back to snoring.................
Not just for bee boxes or how to felt a ted.
Although just think of all the bee boxes that have been made, all the bees that should be buzzing around next Spring because they have had some help. All the felting and creativity that has been going on! Great!
Always look forward to comments.
Always great to see the usual "red spots" from the usual places on the world map.
I can't add everyone, but it's fantastic to see old friends along with new ones who visit Soggibottom Cottage.
Keep clicking and hope we can pass the karma on.

Classic Car Show on Paignton Green, Devon.
We had planned to visit the classic car show this morning at Paignton.
The weather isn't so great and to slip and slide on wet grass is just not my thing, so thought you might like to see last years car show.
The sun shone and we had a beautiful day looking at all the cars. Amie had lots of fuss from everyone so she had a good time.
Not just boys toys, Bentley's can be for girls!

Raggy stuff
Before I am moaned at again for not showing anything I have made........... two rag dolls.
I made the dolls to look like the children they were intended for.
The pattern is lovely, it's not mine I add. I have had lots of conversations about rag dolls lately and this pattern always springs to mind.
I was lucky enough someone gave me the pattern along with others. Unfortunately some of them were in really bad condition and shame on me they couldn't be saved, I put them in the bin.......I think they had been kept in a shed, somewhere that must have been damp. This pattern has been hiding around the cottage for ages. I put it in a really safe place and then couldn't find it..... ah you do that too......
I don't often make dolls, I prefer to make bears.
As with everything I make, I really have to want to make it and have the time to do it.
No amount of moaning and groaning at me will get anyone any where!
I pick and choose and enjoy doing so.... the dolls went to their new home in case you wondered what happened to them.
Bears will follow during the year..........promise..............
The pictures were taken with my old camera, so the light isn't quite as good, but you get the idea.
Ah........ before I forget........... to my Northern friend.....Hi JAN X X X Amie and her trip over to Cornwall is yet to come.
You know how giving Soggibottom is.... so watch for the rag doll pattern.............................
THIS MEANS THE PATTERN NOT THE PHOTO's..... how could I not get that in ........!

It's a catnip mouse share.
That's it really....... just like to add I have never caught anything..... sorry for the pun, not even a cold..............I'm far too slow............................. luv Mew... Soggibottom cat........... x x x

Still living with Amie
Amie and I have always got on, I could chase her up and down stairs once.
We often used to snore away together........still do......
This interruption isn't by Mew......
Seems we have been infiltrated by an Eastern European scam site... oh spooky stuff....actually it's not very nice.
Someone out there using our pictures to scam people.
SO please, if you see any of our photographs used anywhere else THEY SHOULDN'T BE THERE!
They have not got Soggibottom's permission to use any of SOGGIBOTTOM.BLOGSPOT.COM'S BLOG PHOTO'S.
It seems that the particular site I refer to is so good at selling utter rubbish on their trashy site they can't afford to take their own pictures..... shame!
The photo's they have used I have now deleted from our blog.
I will post them again. But will also add another "take your own photographs" along with the post.
In the mean time, it is still Mew week.
It is now a few hours since I posted this and have calmed down.... but beware Eastern European scam merchant..... only slightly!
Back to Mew...........................................
Why was she called Mew? mew. mew. mew. mew. mew. mew.....food. food. food. food. food. MEW is also the Egyptian word for C.A.T.

Growing up with Amie
This is Amie when she was 12 weeks old.
Here we are, together as we normally are.
21st June 1998
I was 4 or 5 weeks old and Amie was 5 months old.
Some one found me on Saturday June 13th on a very wet and windy day in the middle of a field.
I was about three weeks old and had to be hand fed.
I went to live with Amie where I could be fed every few hours and until a proper home could be found for me.
Although I might have lacked the normal "cat" graces it never really stopped me from hunting bugs in the garden.
I always made my self useful. Here I am making sure Amie doesn't fall asleep.

Over the Tamar bridge into Devon.
Brunnel's railway bridge in on the right of the video. Beyond is the Tamar Estuary and the sea.
On the left is the view you see as you look up The River Tamar, the dividing line between the counties of Devon and Cornwall.
I always love going over this bridge, except it's better when it's a sunny day.
Never enough time to take in the views from both sides.

Sid the Squirrel
We love the squirrel, in the Ice Age films.
I know it's the name of the Sloth,
but we have called this little fellow SID.
If your wondering what the noise is in the video, it's very windy here today.
So windy we couldn't keep the camera still.
Summer has departed and is due back next week................maybe!
