Bodmin ponies and foals.

Instead of using the main roads back from Cornwall during the week, we headed off onto the side roads of Bodmin Moor.

Collingford Reservoir.

Weather wasn't great, but I always think grey skies add to the atmosphere of the moor.

It was so cold, we bravely stayed out side of the car long enough to take the photo's you see.
Then left it to the local residents to enjoy their peace and quiet.

I'm going to point Michele to this post, then get away. She's going to get gushy about the horses.

Midge, I just watched the Preakness horse race this afternoon, and a filly won. Rachel Alexandra. First time since 1924 that a filly won that race! These horses are soooo beautiful! The foal is adorable, as most baby animals are, or most baby anything, I think! Bunny is right, you want to take them and make them your own....Lucky, you two, to see them in such a setting!

They were lovely, there were so many foals you didn't know which one to snap. So we went for the one that came towards us. Unknown to the person holding the camera Mum was right beside them. There is always a tale in every picture. At the time I wished I could borrow her coat as it was so cold. No wonder we were the only people there.
