English Oak and Sweet Pea's and dog roses.

I grew these.
I must admit that it was last year.

For some reason, sweet pea's don't want to grow in our garden this Summer. Maybe one is better than none. Before any one sends me an email, yes, I know it has a bug on it.

Rather than moan about something that can't be changed, it's better to go around the park and meet friends.

Barney is very well behaved and always lets Amie go first. Little gentlemen.

Although sometimes she takes advantage of him and pushes him out of the picture.

They had the whole park to themselves today.

Giving me time to notice how all the wild flowers are doing better than my sweet pea's.
This is Valerian.
For most gardener's it is a weed. I love to see it along walls and hedgerows all around the South West of England.

Dog Roses are in flower.

Blackberry are coming along nicely, (remembering this is the park and not my own particuar space). I have made note of where they are though.

This is one of mine, it's here because I just love the colour.

Beautiful photos. What a gorgeous park and that they allow dogs to run free.....sigh.....we wish we had something like that here. We live near the beach though so we don't complain, but a nice big park with all those lovely flowers to photograph and dogs running free would be nice too. Thanks for sharing.

Love to see your area and the beautiful flowers.
I replanted some flowers that were in shade, which wasn't my smartest idea, lol. Now they are finally flowering. My sunflowers are growing too, so I will have flowers finally. This time I put rocks around the garden, that will keep my crazy mowers away;)

Lovely walk! I have poppies flowering today. I planted fancy sorts but so far just the reds have appeared.

My ultimate favorite...sweetpeas. Thanks for sharing! I wonder of the valerian is the same I use when I haven't slept in days and days. I reach for my homeopathic valerian root capsules.I'll have to research that one.

Valerian can be used as a homeopathic medicine to treat nervous tension, insomnia, nervous stomach and intestine problems. Also for headaches irritable bowel syndrome and eczema. The root is sometimes used in some perfumes.

For insomnia. Infuse 2 teaspoonsful in 250ml cold water for 10-12 hours. Drink 1 cup 2 or 3 times daily.

Just lovely. your prize is winging its way to you. we have valerian growing here to. I like it. Our blackberries are flowering but don't think the berries will be much good as the weather is so hot and they don't get enough water to thrive. Give Amie a love from me please. she looks like she had a great time in the park.

Valerian always reminds me of my childhood as we had it planted down the edges of our driveway - not had much success finding it or growing it in my own garden though.

Oh my gosh
the flowers are gorgeous. You are an awsome photographer.!
What is that orange flower?
The action shot of Ames is precious. She is a lovable beauty!
I just love her.
I love all the walks you take us on, and all the flowers you share.
We have valarien too. And we also have some of it in capsules to take for sleeping. We will have blackberrys but not yet.
What a beautiful place to walk!
