Working Donkey at Dawlish Warren in May

Meet Tim.

Amie and Tim were kissing each other, I didn't quite snap them in time.
What is it with Donkeys and Amie ?
To remind you, Amie is never off of her lead near a Donkey or a Horse.
We know Amie loves everyone, but how would a Donkey or a Horse know that.

The beauty of Dawlish Warren is that it has the best of both worlds.
The beach on one side of the dune.

A wild life sanctuary with it's own lake on the other.

Reed beds and views

Heron, geese, cormorants, swans and ducks.

The small collection of shells below are just a few of the one's collected this morning.

One of us has a magpie instinct for collecting things on the beach.

360 degree view of Dawlish Warren. Click to visit.

Looks like a wonderful area to visit. I love the beach. I am a shell collector and keeper. I keep a few in different places to remind me of my beach walks. I haven't had one for over 2 years now and am craving one. I love how animals "know" each other.

The donkey and Amie understand each other. The photo is lovely. Like the video but the sea and noise of the wind makes it feel cold. There is a place like that up in Northumberland called Duridge Bay Country Park. Google it and you will see that it's much the same as Dawlish Warren. We used to go up there on sunny days.

Your area is so much like New England. We go for walks at the sanctuary which has inland marshes and then the dunes and the ocean on the other side of that. I love walking near the ocean, the air is so clean and clear.

Boy, Tim looks like he wants to talk - he's adorable! What a lovely area, what I wouldn't give to have a walk on that beach. LOVED the video!

Oh my gosh
you are such an excellent photographer.
We loved all those photos- the marshy picture with the grass sticking up and that darling donkey and Ames.
We used to have donkeys, but never did see a fluffy one like the one you shared in the photo.
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful world.
