Completely quackers

We have had the photo's of the ducks and ducklings for a few days. It seems that because I have told the duck story to a few people it is so silly to blog.

Will try my best to relay............

The road you see is very narrow and it is also very busy.
We couldn't understand why the car in front was wandering all over the road. Until we spotted the Duck and her brood.
The car in front passed and I think it was at the point where I snapped them all waddling down the road I also shouted STOP!

So we did...(as you should).
The duck decided that she wanted to change sides and ambled across to the other side of the road while a car came around the corner of the bend.
Our car horn honked and we shouted and waved to a very bemused driver. The oncoming car stopped. GREAT!

The duck waddled on taking her new family up the other side of the road the way she had just come. The traffic on both sides of the road started to build up. The car behind us, the car behind them got out, (how on earth did they have a box in their car?).

At this point Amie yawned in the back seat, just after I had whipped her blanket from under her.

People behind us were milling around trying to catch the duck and the ducklings.............
So what did we do?

Left them all to it....
They were far better at catching ducklings..................................

Very considerate. I do the same for turtles...no kidding.

Adorable! Reminds me of the book "Make Way for Ducklings."

Try to catch a Canada goose and its goslings, however, and you lose a chunk of your arm and 50% of your hearing. LOL

We have very friendly cats in our neighborhood, and everyone who lives on this street knows to wait patiently as they criss-cross the street looking for people to pet them. However, every so often we get the outsider who doesn't understand the way things are here, and they slam on their brakes or blare their horn at the cats. I think we all secretly wish that this method of scaring the cats will keep them off the street, but of course, it doesn't work. I wish I could carry them away. Oh, and I LOVE that picture of the Mom Duck with her ducklings.
