Restoring Philips 54 year old Teddy Bear
Here is the guest we were expecting at the cottage. A much loved 54 year old called Teddy.
Poor little soul, I hate it when they have no eyes.
Luckily for Teddy they came with him in his box this morning.
We have resumed painting the cottage walls, for a while Teddy had to sit in the cottage window.
That's better, he has eyes again. I've also had a chance to put my own glasses on and look at him properly.
He might be with us for a while as I intend to take my time with a few repairs.
At least Perkins knows how he feels. Is it me or has Perkins got a smug look on his face?
I thought we would play safe and give him a pair of glasses till he gets used to his eyes again. At least they will see him through the week.
THAT IS NOT MY JOKE........... !

What a special visitor! Glad he's been to 'see' the Soggibottom optician!
You've got me wishing I could see someone for repairs, and new eyes, when I'm 54!!!! Wouldn't that be nice? I'd want rather less stuffing, though.
Teddy is adorable and he looks very glad to be there. I think Perkins is snickering because he has clothes on and Teddy doesn't.
How sweet and now he can see again. What a fun thing to do, he must be well loved and now he will be given a new life.

Um.....well, I hope so Debbie...:-)
Teddy is going to be my project for a while...
I took the pic of teddy and perkins and I thought he had a snigger on his face.

Poor soul, loved so much, as you can see and can't see where he is...

Poor Ted... He had a hard life! Looks absolutely like my two bears, but in much more poor condition...
He looks like a well loved little chap. Can't wait to see how you restore him.
Aw! Bless 'im! I don't know about Perkins looking smug, but Teddy looks a mite apprehensive! I'm sure he'll feel happier after some TLC.
oh he is in the best hands now...love the painting it all looks great.

Teddy is so lucky to have found you :) He is going to be loved and cared for and you will soon get him well again, I am glad you fixed his eyes first though!
Such a gorgeous little guy and how lucky is he!

What a delight you are. I stumbled onto your blog from aly-oops and so glad I did. Loved the video of the snoring Amie - I truly laughed out loud. I'll be back to visit. By the way I love all the little creatures you are bringing back to life.
