Your blackbird looks a lot like our robin. It is wonderful to see them skitter across the grass and freeze, turning their ears toward the ground, listening for worms.
We may be able to type on our keyboards, but we will never be able to listen for dinner slithering through the loam.
Seems like a silly comparison...until the power goes out.

I love the wrens.
I had never seen one before we moved to Soggibottom, now they are in and out of the kitchen window box. Love to see them.
