Cat's greatest gift
Frank lends you his presence. That should be enough.
Trying to get Frank in at night time from the front of the cottage is a challenge he looks forward too. The word HAM or the sound of the fridge door does it every time.
Frank loves the game of calling him in. When he has been fed from the fridge and the lights turned off for the night. He disappears out of the back door cat flap.
The moral:- Be generous to your cat, remember it is always better to give than to receive.
Ask the cat on the receiving end!

Ways to cross the River Dart
There are a few ways into Dartmouth.
The easy way for us is to take the ferry. But not this one.
Unless the higher ferry is out of action.
This is the one that has been known to come loose from where it shouldn't be loose. This is the one that sometimes goes wandering down to the sea in the distance.
Maybe the reason we try and take the higher ferry and not just because Amie has a better view

Pilgrim Fathers sailed from Dartmouth first.
They left from Dartmouth first.
This is the quayside below. It still has a cobbled walkway.
Today Dartmouth was extremely quiet. Hardly any one with a camera except us.
Huge absence of tourists.
Dartmouth might have changed since the Pilgrim Fathers sailed, but the view of the entrance to the River Dart, methinks hasn't changed that much.
View looking out to sea from the river.

Oak Tree
This is a young Oak tree that lives in our local park.
During the summer it looks stunning in full leaf.
Its used by children as a climbing frame, a shady
picnic area, a wicket for a family game of cricket and
one side of a goal post, and it doesn't seem to mind a bit.
Its now winter, its crowning glory has gone for another year,
but I think it looks just as good.

Chauffeured driven dog
Some people prefer their dogs to sit in the rear of the car behind a dog guard or in a safety cage. Others buy harnesses to secure you to the seat belt, allowing you to have the back seat all to yourself. Always push for this option. As back-seat passengers are chauffeur driven, whereas dogs in the back of hatchbacks and estates are taken places. This is a SUBTLE BUT IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE. .........Be chauffeured, not taken.

Watching
Snapped the sky above going over Dartmoor on the way to Cornwall earlier in the week.
I can see a face in the sky.
Tony can see a sheep in this picture.
Amie can never see much anyway so we didn't ask her.
What can you see?
If I really study it hard enough I can also see a fellow who looks like he is skiing along the clouds. But I never wear my glasses anyway.

Ghosts of tourist past?
Don't you just love pictures of the beach in November?
This beautiful beach is Perranporth in Cornwall.
If you go there on holiday, best time to go really is November.
You can have the place all to yourself.

Pets rock
Amie used to take a tennis ball down to the beach,
but she used to get mugged by other dogs for the ball.
Now she has her choice of the beach stones.
She is wearing her Soggibottom sweater, and "yes" I take orders.
Except for Great Dane size !

sleep and cats
On Average, cats need 24 hours of sleep a day. SOME NEED MORE THAN THAT.
Beds designed for pets are all right for dogs or human infants. CATS REQUIRE REAL BEDS.
Don't waste your time shoving your cat off the bed. IT WILL RETURN ANYWAY.
Most beds sleep up to six cats. TEN CATS WITHOUT THE OWNER
Last but not least, try not to snore and disturb the cat.

Obama Rescue Dog or Cat?
Rex fell in love with Amie on the beach the other day. He was the kind of beautiful character that you just wanted to take home. Luckily for him, that he was rescued by a caring and loving lady. He is cute and well behaved and just wanted to play. I couldn't not add him to the blog as we met him on the Day that Barrack Obama promised his daughters a rescue dog. Mutt or not this dog is a beautiful little fellow.
Or should he get a cat Hanna?

Gunpowder Treason and Plot
This is another clip of fireworks over Plymouth back in the Summer.
Loads of GUNPOWDER, bangs and noise.
TREASON, as it hasn't uploaded that well, but when it stops you can really see the fireworks, so persever.
Tonight the PLOT is to watch the fireworks from a window and keep warm.
Would Amie rather, go out in the cold and watch the fireworks, or snore by the fire.
What do you think?

Reason, Season or a Life time.
People come into your life for a reason, a season or a a lifetime.
When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person
.
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.
They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.
They are there for a reason you need them to be.
Then without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, they will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.
Sometimes they just walk away, or they act up and force you to take a stand.
Need has been met, desire fulfilled, work done.
Some people come into your life for a SEASON, because your turn has come to share, grow or learn. They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
Or teach you something you have never known.
Usually giving you an unbelievable amount of joy.
It is real, but only for a season.
LIFE TIME relationships teach you life time lessons.
Things to build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.
Accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use, in all other relationships and areas of life.
IT IS SAID THAT LOVE IS BLIND BUT FRIENDSHIP IS CLAIRVOYANT
"Who had the mouse Frank ?"
"He came into my life for a reason, it's a seasonal thing, and we weren't life time friends anyway".
