Good Guys

With all the rain we have had the bug population has exploded. We have loads of slow worms. Really good to know we have some good guys out in the garden. As long as I don't have to pick them up. We try and encourage the slow worms as they eat all the bugs and are good to have around. Although I tend to keep my distance.

In our vast experience of wildlife, both foriegn and domestice,we would both concur that the "slow-worm" pictured is infact an African yellow mamba and in no circumstancies should be approached.Do you eat bananas or paw-paw? this is how it probably reached the UK,or wiggled its way aboard a BA flight from Mombasa and got stuck at terminale 5 for a couple of weeks.

This worm is so slow! I can't believe it. I wriggle MUCH faster than that. You wouldnt be able to photograph me, it would come out as a blur. That worm you have there is slow-as-hell. Unbelievable. Please shoot more expeditious worms in future.
