After looking at a certain "selling" site, it amazes me the amount of money that is asked for a pattern.
I know people have to earn a living. But sometimes it makes me cross. You can have this pattern free, no charge....
This is my own pattern made for a tiddler who is just about to have her first birthday.
Safety is the main thing here, so all the contents of this particular Lily Elephant are child friendly.
Safety eye's, joints and for a change I have made Lily's elephant with plush rather than mohair.
You however can make Lily's Elephant from anything you wish.
Over the next few weeks I'll adapt the pattern and probably make a few more from different materials.
Of cause I will show you............. but in the mean time you can have a go at your own.
My drawings aren't as accurate as I do most of them free hand, no particular skill is involved.
As you all know by now, I can't draw or paint.... but I am sure the pictures are easy enough to follow.
The first step........... Sew the chin..... Then your away.
Legs. As Lily's elephant is doll like you have two heavy legs.
Two arm like legs.
The head gusset.... if you look at the pattern, the trunk "bit" goes onto the head "bit".
Make sure when you cut the pattern out you join them at the appropriate place before you place them on your material.
