It wasn't so warm on the West Coast of Cornwall yesterday. But the sky was amazing.

As much as we love Soggibottom Cottage, there are times when we need to get away. The fire place is taking place step by step.

All we need now is a working fire and it's finished. There is only one thing I will miss about the old fire place. It's seeing Mew our cat with her paws high, warming them in front of the fire. I miss Mew... NOPE.. won't miss the fireplace...
At the moment all thoughts go out to a huge storm three hundred miles across off of the East Coast of America... take care and most of all keep safe and dry x x x

Where ever Mew is now she has happy memories of her life at the cottage. The fireplace looks neat. I'm waiting for the storm. Just hoping for the best.

The fireplace is looking good - you'll be done before you know it! LOVE the pic of Cornwall. They're calling the east coast storm "Frankenstorm" - no reference to Frank....

What a beautiful day. We have lots of clouds and the wind is picking up. I think we got everything that can go flying, so now we are snuggled up and waiting to ride out the storm.

We are supposed to be getting the back end of Sandy with lots of wind and rain. Everything that can fly away has been put in the garage. They have posted flood warnings because we seem to be having never ending rain lately. Even the dry stream bed at the bottom of the garden actually has water in it. The first time in years. Ah well at least it isn't snow:)

Nice looking fireplace. We haven't had blue skies for several days so it's nice to see it on your blog. Give the animals a hug for me.

As you know, we were in Boston for Hurricane Sandy - luckily we only got the edge of it which was wild but certainly not as bad as the poor folk in NY and New Jersey. So sad to see the devastation left in it's wake.
