Blue Peter

We have known for a while our Granddaughter was going to be one among many of a choir visiting the BBC Blue Peter studio today. Here they are singing away on T.V. this afternoon.


We watched out for Kiann as they all filed into the studio.
Nana was shouting.... wave, wave... as if Kiann could hear me...

Where is she ?
Haven't a clue... but I do know I have to wipe away orange juice from the T.V.


I was putting cloves into oranges at the time. Maybe fingering the T.V. wasn't the best idea I've ever had.... oranges and cloves smell good though....

As for kids T.V. and Blue Peter, not the same Blue Peter programme I remember...... I think Kiann must have got a Blue Peter badge. Though I've never seen one... the height of my childhood was to have a Blue Peter badge... well, actually, it wasn't, I wanted a hamster slightly more.
Well done Kiann...

Frank has mail

We know Christmas is near because the village church put up their decorations on top of the church roof.


Sometimes it's a Christmas tree, it's a Star this year.


Frank is a cat, better remind you, C A T ... not a Retriever dog.
When there's mail for someone called Frank Fluffy Tail, believe me, it's not mine.


It's Frank's. Frank's full name is Frankie de tabby.....


You know he isn't a tabby cat, I know that, but that is his name.
He could be mistaken for being called Frank Fluffy Tail.


When you have undone your parcel and given it a good chew and pulled it's tail.


Given it the chance to escape even if it's not capable of it.


Given it a good wash if it needed one or not.


The next thing you do is share it..


Not sure if Mew was really interested or she was trying to please Frank.

Timeless

There are so many things that are coming via email and Mr postman, I'm struggling slightly to keep up this week. There are so many beautiful cards and e card thingamajiggies. If I can share them with you, I try and send them on.. They need to be shared. They are all timeless and make me smile and laugh. I hope they make you smile and laugh too.



Talking of sending things on....
I love to see quilting
So much time and love goes into making a quilt. If you have ever made a quilt, you understand. There is an art with a needle that some either have or haven't got. No one ever said I have ever mastered the art of quilting. I never will.
I admire other people's work from afar, on this occasion some of it has come to the cottage. Via Mr postman.

I'm not sure if Alya knows exactly how much I love poppies, but this is one huge poppy seed cut in half.


It seems only right that it I have hung it (straight) by one of my daughter's paintings of a meadow full of poppies.

I haven't been to Greenwich Market for years.
This little guy is too good to put away for next year, he'll find a spot around in the cottage and all year will ho ho ho.
Christmas is only beginning... Sometime it takes the cottage a while to get with the swing of Christmas, thanks for making it come early this year in so many ways.

I had to have help getting down from my soap box... Don't worry, I'm down..

I think I have gently made my point.
I use the word gently here, I could have said like a bull in a china shop....


I had a great birthday on the 7th.
Just as you think, well, that's it, all over for another year.
Then through the post came this.... a mug with Mew's painting printed on it.


THIS IS MEW, Caroline original painting.
Caroline painted Mew to enter into a gallery competition, using the photo that I blogged here earlier in the year.
You can see more of Caroline's work at Uniqart, she is a much better knitter than I am too.

Mew and Amie Soto Blossom have both had their portrait's painted by talented artists.
Amie's portrait hangs in the cottage. You can see it on the side bar to the side, painted by Michele Beesley.

Just like Caroline's gift Amie's portrait arrived in the post. Totally unexpected...
I have such kind, blogging friends.


Mew has lost weight.
Amie doesn't have so many cookies now.
Mew doesn't steal as many from Amie = weight loss.
The bit you can see is loose skin. That's Mew's story and she is still sticking to it.

New word

I have a new word.. probably an old one I have used for years...
TOSH !
Rubbish, reject... I can never understand why someone would want to be little someone else............................
Or as I am here, copy someone else !
Or get such a big head it doesn't suit them.
In this instance it isn't me.. but it doesn't matter, it could have been me.

So kind people that have escaped my scrutiny, and the other's that might have a misguided attitude.................. Don't follow Soggibottom if your not true to yourself...
Don't play blogger if you can't play nicely.

Kind, caring people at Soggibottom only please.
One thing that really annoys me. is bullying... if you want some to bully try ME...
I can stand up to you standing on one leg :-)
